Everyone needs to stop pointing fingers and think of ways to resolve this problem. Complaining isn’t going to solve anything. We discovered a huge problem with FEMA, but for now America needs to come together and heal our wounds. Blaming President Bush, local and state governments, poverty, racism, or Mother Nature isn’t going to help the people who need us now. Grow up America!

I am going to leave this post because you have a right to express your views, but please remember that the entire point of this particular thread is for the venting of frustrations. Something that can be very cathartic during a time of turmoil such as the one we are experiencing now.

I understand the point of the thread but everyone is complaining/blaming that is my frustration. No one has any solutions to fix the problem. Yes, there were many failures but now isn’t the time to point fingers. We need to focus our blaming efforts towards fixing this problem. That is my frustration.

Of course I understand your frustration, but in times like these it makes people feel better to have a scapegoat (whether that particular goat happens to be worthy of the criticism or not is another question). Having someone to blame means that we're not powerless, if this could have been prevented then maybe it won't happen again. Of course the first action should be, of course, action, followed then by the blame game. But a lot of people are angry now, so they are venting their anger now, it's the nature of the human animal I'm afraid.
