I rescued my Mom from her home one block away from E.J. General Hospital on Sept 1st. There was a foot of water in my home, and there HAD BEEN three feet of water in the area, but had drained away before my arrival. I have been able to call the hospital switchboard numerous times at (504) 454-5000. The neighborhood had plenty of tree damage, but little damage to homes. (Although I did see two homes whose roofs had major damage when two power poles fell on them (on Clearview near West Esplanade).
