My husband is on his way in with his mother to Chateau Estates. I've asked him to call when he gets there and I will post any info he provides about that area.

Ok, they got into Chateau Estates and said there are shingles everywhere. At the house, she only lost some trees in the back, the front door is swollen shut, but it looks like no water damage inside the house. The backyard pool is obviously black. A larger tree was down blocking one entrance into Chateau Estates, but folks were working on it with chainsaws and such to get it up and out of the way.

My husband said Chateau Estates looked pretty good. Lots of trees down and limbs, on home he saw lost about 1/5th of the roof. He didn't see any busted out windows that would suggest looting. He said "hats off to the police dept. and city, they were out clearing streets and making things a lot easier for the city." The Esplanade mall area was clear of water, but the neighborhood across the street on the north side towards Williams had a good bit of damage. He said the streets were totally clogged and impassable.
As for my mother-in-law's home, she has a bit of water damage, that looks like it seeped in from an aircon unit. She lost about 10% of her shingles and the other damage listed in previous posts.
Again, I'd be happy to pass along any questions to my husband of that area.

My stepfather arrived at Chateau Estates this morning and was extremely happy and surprised to find no water damage. As was mentioned by others previously, there is roof damage, therforefore, some furniture inside sustained water damage due to the water leaks. My mom and stepfather will probably go back later to salvage what they can.

My folks are lucky - didn't even get water in their garage. That's all I know so far.
I'm sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong place. I was referring to the Lakes of Chateau Estates apartment complex.
