As requested, I'm crossposting this here from the Nola.com St. Bernard message board: A couple of days ago, I used Google Earth to locate my ex-husband's family homes over in the 1200 block of Angela. The photos make it look as though the water was up to the eaves of the Guidry and Nunez houses. You can see the before and after photos on my message board in this thread: jllandry.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=1007My people are from Baton Rouge and St. Martinville, but Arabi was our "home of record" the entire time my ex served in the Navy. I am devastated by this situation and the lack of news on the parish. Thank God for Google! My prayers are with all of y'all down home and waiting for word. . .good, bad, or otherwise from the media. Those who cited how St. Bernard hadn't even been mentioned were right on target. Funny how they found the parish once we had an oil spill and bodies at St. Rita's! God bless everyone. . .especially Junior for being down there and doing his best for the parish! Jacqui
