I'm in Calif, in touch with Bob Bourcq and his sister Sue Ellen. Ann is ok, staying at Bob's house with them so they are a "team". Her house is ok. Plz call me for details! 805-551-2482. God Bless.

Through the anguish and anxiety, we discovered that there no fewer than four (4) Ann Downs' within the hurricane stricken zone.
We found ours, and she's beaten up a little, but already recovering.
She reports that her neighbors are bucking up, and recovering one day at a time. The north side of Lake Pontchartrain suffered mostly downed trees and power lines. There were homes "tidal surged" along the lakefront, but most of old Mandeville has survived with major roof damage and many crushed cars.
The phones are coming up, ice and water are available and power is on the way.
A big hats off to the local law enforcement and utility companies. and a big "shame on you" to the media for totally ignoring everything and everybody except New Orleans and Biloxi-Gulfport.
